Giving our members a voice
Early Years Scotland has continued to play an ever-increasing prominent role at national level, in contributing to and advising on, policy and guidance. This has been undertaken mainly through our membership of key working and advisory groups. The remit of most of the groups relates to the unprecedented planned expansion of funded entitlement of Early Learning and Childcare for all 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. We have also contributed substantially to the policy process by engaging with and submitting organisational responses to a number of high level consultations.
We are represented on a wide range of local and national groups, such as the Curriculum and Assessment Board, the ELC Strategic Forum, and many others. We can therefore ensure that we effectively represent our Early Years Scotland members nationally, and ultimately the voices of children across Scotland
