Introduction to Food Hygiene
This interactive, one-part CPD session is aimed at colleagues working in all ELC settings. It will give you an opportunity to explore what we mean by food hygiene and the steps you can take to prevent, control and destroy harmful bacteria in your ELC setting.
We will look at the main hazards you may encounter, what they need to thrive and potentially cause illness and how you can counter and control food poisoning. We will also discuss allergens and the food safety management system HACCP.
