Early Years Scotland is committed to quality early learning and childcare and grants membership to settings that can demonstrate a willingness to operate to agreed Early Years Scotland standards and comply with our membership criteria.

EYS members will comply with the following criteria:

Registration: The Setting is registered with the Care Inspectorate for the services it provides. (This does not apply to Parent and Toddler Groups and Settings where there is no legal requirement to register with the Care Inspectorate).
Code of Practice: The Setting will operate within the appropriate Early Years Scotland Code of Practice.

NOTE: Early Learning and Childcare settings should be operating within Early Years Scotland’s Code of Practice. Parent and Toddler groups can find a Code of Practice relevant to their service once they become an EYS member. Both codes can be downloaded from the members area of our website at www.earlyyearsscotland.org.
