Pledge Your Setting’s Promise to the Planet

At Early Years Scotland, we are acutely aware of the importance of promoting values around sustainability against the backdrop of the climate challenge facing the world. Our organisation is committed to ensuring that these values are supported by real actions which we can promote internally, amongst our staff and board, as well as more outwardly to our members and the children and families we work with.

We have, therefore, created this pledge following discussions at our annual national conference, where attendees identified key priorities around sustainability. This will be a working document which will be looked at again in 12 months, evolving from the sector’s learnings and best practice as a result of implementation of the pledge. EYS will work in partnership with our members to provide support and guidance around this.

We are, therefore, asking you to sign up to this pledge!

Not only will this demonstrate your commitment to making sure your setting is as sustainable as possible, but it will also show positive role modelling to the children in your care.
