COMING SOON….. Rise & Shine

Welcome to “Rise & Shine,” a transformative initiative in the heart of Glasgow city centre. We have turned a vacant space into a vibrant hub where over 1,000 of Glasgow’s youngest children, living in temporary accommodation, will benefit from much-needed play and learning opportunities every year.

Through our weekly sessions, “Rise & Shine” aims to improve the social, emotional, and physical development of children and families. Our programme includes baby development activities that promote bonding, motor skills, and early cognitive development in infants. Early years activities engage children in storytelling, sensory play, literacy, numeracy, and creative expression, all while incorporating key health and climate messages. We also provide parenting support to help parents navigate mental health, child development, and nurturing techniques, equipping them with the tools to continue their child’s development, regardless of their circumstances. Additionally, our programme fosters community connections, reducing isolation and building resilience among families.

Our vision is simple: to create a warm, inclusive, and trauma-informed space where children can play, learn, and thrive while parents receive the support they need to ensure their children’s wellbeing. We aspire to expand this initiative across Scotland, reaching areas where homelessness is a factor and providing support to even more families.
