Infection Prevention and Control
This interactive, one-part CPD session is aimed at colleagues working in all ELC settings. It will give you an opportunity to understand the meaning of infection prevention and control and why it is important, and explore your and your employer’s role and responsibilities.
We will look at the chain of infection and common types of infection, and increase your understanding of standard infection control procedures (SICPs) and give you some practical ideas of what to do if you have an outbreaks of infection in your ELC settings.
