This course will explore how to support and improve Meaningful Parental Engagement through self study, with the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas through a Discussion forum.

Objectives

• Investigate what is meant by ‘Parental Engagement’ with reference to current guidance and legislation
• Look at some of the key challenges for practitioners in getting to know and maintaining relationships with parents
• How to really get to know the parents and families of the children you work with
