A major conference on building effective approaches to transitions, 'Transforming Lives: Succeeding Against the Odds', will be held on Saturday 14 May at
the McCance Lecture Theatre, Richmond Street, Glasgow.
The conference will hear from, among others, Professor Iram Siraj (Professor of Education, Department of Learning & Leadership. UCL Institute of Education University College London), and Dr Hrönn Pálmadóttir (University of Iceland). The day will also include a range of seminars and workshops on the child’s journey, raising attainment, curriculum, policy, workforce and family engagement: each using transitions as a lens.
Early Years Scotland's Chief Executive, Jean Carwood-Edwards, is a member of the planning group for the event.
