The SSSC is hosting a series of Professional Development Gathering Groups in February and March 2016.
Building on the success of the Continuous Learning Framework (CLF) Gathering Groups, participants are being invited to come together to discuss professional development and learning activities that matter to them; these might include:
• The CLF
• Leadership development
• Promoting Excellence and dementia learning
• Citizen leadership
• Learning activity that supports the integration of social care and health
• The writing of a standard, to be known as Professional Update, which will set out clear expectations for the continuous learning and development required of all social service workers by the time of re-registration
Participants are being asked to come along, contribute their knowledge and expertise and share their ideas and practice examples with others. The gathering groups aim to provide interested people with the time, space and opportunity in their locality to come together to find out more about different learning activities, network with peers, and reflect on how they can use this learning themselves and within their service. Anyone is welcome to join the gathering group discussion. The theme for the session will be decided by participants and the SSSC will provide a structure for the discussion and facilitate the session.
SSSC is inviting expressions of interest at the moment, with dates and venues to be advertised shortly.
Anyone interested in attending should contact Shirley Gibson, Business Support Assistant, on 01382 207170 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
, to register their interest and suggest any themes they would like covered.
