Give parents more choice to get involved in early learning

In the Times Educational Supplement (Scotland), Early Years Scotland's Chief Executive, Jean Carwood-Edwards, puts forward the case for extending parental choice of funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) provision to include an additional service that complements the traditional nursery provision. Giving parents, as well as their nursery entitlement, the choice to also stay, play and learn with their child for part of their weekly funded hours.
