Early Years Scotland (EYS) has launched a crowdfunding appeal to give hundreds of Scottish children their very own copy of a colourful storybook based on a story written by children in ten nurseries around the country.
Ralph's Rainy Day Adventures follows little West Highland Terrier called Ralph who goes on an eventful adventure with his friends Archie and Isla. The children wrote the story as part of a ‘story trail’ to celebrate Early Years Scotland’s ongoing campaign promoting the importance of storytelling from the very earliest days of a child’s life.
The story has now been made into an illustrated book by Nae Bother Books, the creators of The McCoo Family series, and published in digital form, but EYS hope to raise enough money through the crowdfunding appeal to print enough copies to give one to each of the children who wrote the story and to the children who attend our community based services.
Full details of how you can help with the appeal can be found here.
The digital version of the book for KIndle is priced £3.99 and available here.
