Early Years Scotland launched its new Online Learning Platform at the EYS Professional Learning Academy earlier this week.
EYS Head of Professional Learning and Quality Assurance, Michele Doull, gave invited guests a guided tour around some of the main features of the new platform, with the interactive technology allowing guests from Aberdeenshire Council and Glaitness Primary School in Orkney to participate in the launch.
Children from Somerset Nursery in Glasgow were on hand to cut the ceremonial launch ribbon, while the Minister for Children and Young People, Maree Todd MSP, sent her best wishes via a pre-recorded video message.
The platform has been funded by the William Grant Foundation through its Step Change Award, and its Chief Executive Nick Addington told the launch that the Foundation, having supported EYS previously in its work with children affected by parental imprisonment, was delighted to be funding such an exciting new project.
