Can You Help? Scottish Care Require PPE

A message from James Carle, Scottish Care:

"Scottish Care represents the largest group of independent sector social care providers across Scotland delivering residential care, nursing care, day care, care at home and housing support services. This includes private, not for profit and charitable organisations.

We are committed to ensuring that the voice of those who access social care and those who provide services is at the heart of national debate and our aim is to ensure the highest quality care is available to all who need it.

As you will all be aware there is a national shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and as a result, many of our members are struggling to keep services open and to ensure staff have access to the right PPE equipment.

We are delighted that Early Years Scotland has been able to send this communication out to you, to see if you have any Personal Protective Equipment that can be spared whilst ensuring that you maintain an adequate supply for your own services. Any surplus gloves, aprons or similar that you might have due to either enforced closure or reduced services for now, would be greatly appreciated.

Should you have any spare equipment, please email James.Carle@ScottishCare.org with a note of the current location of the equipment, available quantities and any costs that you would like to recover.

On behalf of our members please accept our heartfelt thanks in advance, your offer could make the biggest difference.

Our best wishes for all the fantastic work you are doing for all of us."
