Working in partnership across borders

Early Years Scotland contacted partners in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland with a proposal to establish a Five Nations Forum. As a result of this EYS proposal, the inaugural Five Nations Summit was held in Glasgow City Chambers in August 2018.

This successfully fostered closer working relationships and collaborative partnerships across the five nations. Challenges and solutions around early years policy and practice were shared and all nations made a commitment to host, on a rotational basis, the Five Nations Early Years Annual Summit. The 2019 Summit was hosted in Wales.
